Founded by legendary Colombian soccer player and professional coach Luis Fernando “Chonto” Herrera, CH4 Soccer Academy was created with one mission: to develop young athletes both on and off the field through high-level soccer training, discipline, and personal growth.

ABOUT CHONTO HERRERA

Luis Fernando Herrera Arango, widely known as “Chonto” Herrera,” is recognized as one of the greatest right defenders in Colombian soccer history. During his professional career, he played for renowned clubs including Independiente Medellín, Atlético Bucaramanga, América de Cali, and Atlético Nacional, where he became part of one of the most historic achievements in Colombian soccer by winning the Copa Libertadores de América in 1989.

Chonto Herrera proudly represented the Colombian National Team for over 10 years, participating in four Copa América tournaments and competing in the FIFA World Cup Italy 1990 and USA 1994, as well as the qualifiers for France 1998.

After retiring as a professional player, he continued his journey in soccer as a professional coach in Colombia and the United States. Throughout his coaching career, he worked with important clubs such as Deportivo Cali, Independiente Medellín, Cerro Porteño, and Atlético Huila, achieving significant success and championships.

Today, Chonto Herrera leads CH4 Soccer Academy with the vision of sharing his experience, leadership, and passion for the game with the next generation of athletes.
